Connection speed control (how to setup limits ?)

Hi friends,

im looking for a software to control of connection speed (on my workstation in LAN). I need to setup speed limit for all internet applications (http, ftp, p2p,....).

I have problems with our network administrator for my high-speed downloading. It's possible to setup speed limit for all internet applications? Does exist some "connectivity manager" for Win98?

I don't know if this is the best solution or not, someone here will probably have something better, but you could edit the RWIN and MTU values of your registry to slow your connection down.

that has some programs that help you edit those settings in your registry. I recommend reading the broadband section here so you can get a better understanding on how these settings effect your connection speed.

Here is a LINK to a download manager from download.com that has the ability to throttle bandwidth.
