I was in Canton back in August for 2 weeks. I tried to see you in the hospital but Ken did not receive a reply back from your son. I really wanted to send my well wishes in person.Originally posted by blebs99
That would put you in range, but I'm not allowed by the physician to be on highways yet. You'd be roughly 65 miles away from me.![]()

Thanks for the thought, however, in August, they had me classified pretty much an unresponsive vegetable. They really didn't think I was going to pull through. Now, they all want me to come back and visit them in the CSICU. They're convinced that I'm a miracle.
One nurse told me that it's so great to see someone come back from being so close to death, when everywhere around them, they fight continuously to keep people alive and most don't make it. The mere mention of "Code Blue" in the hospital puts me in tears immediately. I heard it too many times while I was there.

We're all glad you pulled through! I'll get around to Canton again and when I do I'll have to take you and the Mrs. out for dinner.
Take it easy buddy!

Bainbridge is a far fringe suburb and puts you about 40 minutes east of Cleveland proper. It's a nice country area that is starting to build up.
I live in Medina, which is about the same distance SW of Cleveland, and very similar. I work downtown and own a local ISP.
You are close to Aurora and Six Flags (the old Sea World and Geuga Lake Park, now combined) but they are pretty much wound down for the season.
There are any number of things to do in Cleveland, even in the fall and winter. A good place to start looking is http://www.cleveland.com
You might want to go downtown and see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center. There's also a lot of bars, clubs and such in the Warehouse District and the nearby Flats, also downtown. Peabody's Down Under is a good jazz and concert club, there are others. The Powerhouse complex on the West Bank of the Flats is very popular.
Ohio City, just west of downtown, has the Great Lakes Brewery, a very good restaurant and well regarded microbrewery. The nearby West Side Market is open during the daytime, great for food and a quick lunch.
Very close to downtown, but on the East side, is Playhouse Square. There's a Second City here, as well as four theaters with something going on every weekend. Cleveland State University is next door.
Going further east, another interesting area is University Circle, it has some entertainment, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Health Museum and Case Western Reserve University. There's also a few galleries and the comteporary art center there as well.
If you are into fine arts and such, be sure to check out Severence Hall and the Cleveland Orchestra, as well as the Cleveland Museum of Art in Univeristy Circle. Both are among the best in the world and well worth it.
