SIR .. I really need your help .. i am using adsl (PPOoE) with winXP pro >> i have reached MTU >1492 one time but when i did recover from a data lost i am having trouble achieving my mtu
i have tried many tweaks and regedit from what you said but nothing work
here is my TCP/IP >>
TCP options string = 020405500103030001010402
MTU = 1400
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1360
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1360, which equals MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 4288
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 4288
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
522240 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 8)
261120 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 4)
130560 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 2)
65280 (MSS x 48)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 171.52 kbps (21.44 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 68.608 kbps (8.576 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF
Time to live left = 45 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 01011100
Precedence (priority) = 010 (immediate)
Delay = 1 (low delay)
Throughput = 1 (high throughput)
Reliability = 1 (high reliability)
Cost = 0 (normal cost)
BTW> i could not find the key /class/ under /services/ in my regestry ..
my download as my ISP SAID >> 1500/256 kbps
iam downloading now on 56 kbps
and when i tried to corect my NIC TO 100mb full ..COMES ERROR when i wanna connect : THE NETWORK CABLE UNPLUGED
PLEASE HELP ME AND ASK ME WHAT YOU WANNA KNOW MORE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Services\NdisWan\ Parameters\Protocols\0 (delete the Protocol MTU value)
Double click on "Protocol MTU" Click on "Decimal" -> and reset it to 1480 or 1492 and reboot.
Your MTU should be 1480 if you are using XP's native PPPoE software or it should be 1492 if you are using your ISP's software.
Once we get your MTU correct we will work on the rest of your settings.
