Post by Lobo »

I hope you all know that there are 3 downloads you need off that site.

1. Ad aware
2. Ref file- known spyware
3. Ref file update= updates ref file :)

All you need is the ref updater and make sure you direct it to Ad Aware under the preferences so that it will update Ad Aware properly. The ref updates are like virus defintions, there is new spyware coming out all the time and this will keep you up to date to protect you from the new spyware. :) ;)

That's what the ref updater does...... update Ad Aware to the latest ref file. The ref file that you download from Ad Aware is just the latest one that's all.

Right, that's just the latest file....... the same thing that the ref updater does, but the ref updater will put it directly into Ad Aware..... no point in doing both. :)
