Post by 240sx »

Hey,

I was just curious as to what brand of external cable modems come with the Road Runner service.

Any information would be great

Thanks

I have the Toshiba PCX1000, but I have had it since Feb of 2000. I have not had any problems with it.

I have the same one, was wondering if I could have it upgraded even if nothing was wrong with it...

 Roadrunner has several modems they use. The most common ones right now are the Ericsson PipeRider and Toshiba PCX2500, both of which are pretty good modems.

When I got AOL Cable with Time Warner in January, they gave us a Toshiba PSX2000. After that modem went down we changed to RoadRunner and got a 2500.
