I have aDSL, windows xp home edition, and I have tried the patches, the TCP optomizer, as well as configuring my registry maually however the the MTU always remains at 1412. The analyser says this:
TCP options string = 0204055c0103030201010402
MTU = 1412
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1372
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1372, which equals MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
504896 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
252448 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 4)
126224 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
63112 (MSS x 46)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF
Time to live left = 55 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
Sombody PLEASE HELP ME!!! I'm crying just thinking over this

WOW Dr. Tweak thats alot to read. Id suggest that if your changing your MTU and in your registry it read what it is suppose to that you forgot to turn your proxy of on your browser. If thats not it plz continue with Dr. Tweaks article im sure your not done yet
I think I've done enough conventions to know how to spell Melllvar.
