Sympatico High Speed Questions

Hello,

I've just ordered Sympatico High Speed and I was wondering what kind of connection it was. Is it DSL? ISDN? or a type of connection on it's own?

My town population is only 8,000 and High Speed is the only broadband option I have.

Furthermore I was wondering if there were tweaks so that I could have more bandwidth or any other ways to speed it up.

It's DSL. Once you get it then we can decide on tweaking from there.

Starts to BOOOO!
I hate Sympatico, they suck....Rogers is way better, thats only if u download/upload a lot. Sympatico has a cap of 5GBdown and UP. Rogers only capped the speed to 150kb/sec and 22kb/sec

Hate to burst your bubble but Rogers is capping to. They made the announcement to cap well before Sympatico did, sympatico was just the first to implement it. To find an actual good ISP go here: http://www.canadianisp.com

Rogers cap - i dont think so

I thought the same thing. Rogers follows or leads but this time they are sitting back and relaxing to see what sympatico is doing.

They are waiting to see the results of the cap implemetation of sympatico. And what are they seeing??????...................

People are LEAVING Sympatico for rogers.

JUST LIKE MEEEE!!!!!!!!!

I figure either one of a bunch of things will happen next

1. - rogers will wait till it gets a shiload of sympatico customers and then implement the cap

2. - rogers will not implement a cap but will rather leave things the way they are - BIG advantage over their main competiton (bell)

3. - rogers will extend services at no cost because that is what is happening in the states

who knows - we shall see
