Post by Azn_Boy007 »

I am currently using Shaw@home and its kinda F*cked up. It used to run fine...but after they had this wierd hardware problem and fixed it...my comp's internet connection is f*cked. When I play online FPS games (eg. Counter-Strike) it gives me wierd lags. I phoned Shaw but they either say their is no problem with it, or there is..but i dunno what the problem is. Someone saysit is packet loss...and thats what i think it is, becuase there isnothing wrong with my vid. card or anything else. Everything is up to date. Cablenut seems to help a bit...but not enogh to cure the problem. SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

Specs:
OS: XP
Connection: Shaw@Home (cable)
CPU: Clocked @ 1050 P3
Ram: 256 SDRAM
Vid. Card: Nivida 32 mb mx 400

Run a line test to see where your packet loss starts, http://www.dslreports.com/linequality
As this will give you a good look at your routing and if and where loss starts.
