Win 98se Error Vmm32.vxd

I Have Friend that is running Win 98se - When Computer Boots up a Error comes up "Windows can not find the file vmm32.vxd in the pathway Windows may need to be reloaded" How can he fix this - He can not get to the Desk top-

Your help is needed

Did that file get deleted by the user?
Is it still sitting in the recycle bin?

If so, there is a way in Dos to get it back.
Let me know, I'll walk you through it.

Thanks Norm: he got it to work Now he has now his E-mail is not working- I told him the best thing to do is Save the files and do the good Old - Re-Format - fresh Os

Maybe you can Help with This- I have this Problem
