Torsten how can you not LOVE Bobby Knight? He can turn a hum-drum college baskeball game into a screening for the Springer show. I mean c'mon....how often do you get to see an adult heave chairs out into the court? And his compassion....teaching his players how to break choke holds, and not break under mental anguish? Now he's in Texas, prolly carries an Uzi under his sport coat, now THATS entertainment. He has missed his true callin tho, WWF could make him a superstar...heh.

Kidding aside, if there was not a ACC team in there, I'd root for Indiana, just to turn the thumb screws on Bobby. He's a disgrace to professional basketball coaches, and the human race in general. But, it seems that more often than not, there IS an ACC team in the final 4, or the championship, so my hands are tied.

Believe me, not all people from Indiana are smitten with Bobby Knight...I was pretty glad to see him go, actually...

Ha! The chair throwing is about the only thing I've ever seen of Knight that I liked (not a big fan of refs at all). Otherwise, I read Season on the Brink and hated him. He comes off as an egomaniac who enjoys abusing people who can't do anything about it, then trying to pass it off as "character building" or something. I think it's funny that his protege Krzyzewski has had a lot more success in the last 20 years, proving you can win and treat players with respect as human beings. The General's gotta hate that.

Mike Davis is also proving that as well in Indiana...

It would be very interesting to get Bobby's spin on things if Indiana won it...he'd probably say something to the effect that the team wouldn't have been what it was if it weren't for him recruiting the players two years ago, or something to that effect...

Well, I think he's already laying the groundwork for his excuse. I saw him on a Cable News channel show talking about the last 2 years he "knew this team this year would go far". Maybe it's not fair of me to think that way, but, I just don't like him much so I might be looking for the bad.
It just doesn't look like he's going to give any credit to anyone else.
