Well I just talked to a WOW representitive about the cable internet. I asked about the different packages the offer and they only have two but it sounds good.

#1 package- guaranteed 300kbps down 300kbps up. capped on the down at 512 and 300 up. This plan runs 29.95 a month, with there cable.

#2 package- 1500kbps down and 1500kbps up, guaranteed 512 up! This plan runs 34.95 a month with there cable and 49.95 without.

I hope that this turns out to be a good thing!!! :)

Do you want me to beat you now? Or would you rather me tell UOD that you're actually a Comcast Executive?

CAN I GET THIS WONDEROUS PACKAGE TOO!?

I would gladly drop Comcast cable TV from this house if it meant a decent Internet provider. Comcast needs to get kicked in the wallet (and nuts).

No contract.

I will be retracting Comcast cable TV and Internet from this house and writing them a letter explaining why they lost me as a customer.

1.5K down and up sounds wonderful to me. And with WOW you get the cable TV on extra outlets for free. With Comcast we pay extra to have cable TV on a second set.

The best company wins.

Geez, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I met with a couple of WOW engineering types on Monday, and got the specs in writing. Two plans, 500/300 and 1500/300, the same everywhere (except for a small area in Denver that uses a different technology).

You are close to Michigan. You must attend the Michigan Speedguide meet, or Brembo shows up at your doorstep with a club and a large knapsack.

...either way, you're "invited". ;)
