I think we need to appoint a new Admin

Post by JamieLee2k »

Due to the fact I don't see Philip around here alot I think we need another Admin in charge?

Some of you ppl might have different opinions but personally I think we need someone else.

What do you mean? Someone who is here often with ability to ban?

Why?

to many people get banned for little things to fast...

In this situation it takes time before philip (the judge :D ) to hear a complaint...

In that time tension will have gone down and things might have already been sorted... where as with your idea we have a person running around freely banning anyone he sees fit...

not that philip isnt friends with anyone here but that also makes his judgment better.. he wouldnt exactly takes sides as someone who is here daily might.

You will have more babysitting if that's what's needed... I'll try to be around more.

Brent might have made the wrong judgement, but he still acted in good faith and did what he thought is best for SG, there is no point in blaming the mods... We're just human.

I think what Ping said is a valid point, Moderaters are here and will ussualy try to douse any fires before they get out of hand, Admin comes in later and if the problem is resolved then there is ussualy no need for banishment.
A cooling off period per say is automatically in place with things as they are now.

Maturity is needed in many instances Mouse, but An important part of conflict resolution is a cooling off period.

Personaly I think this site is overmoderated, not without cause though.
And I think maturity is needed by both MODERATERS and MEMBERS.
It appears that some don't like it when the boards are peacefull, We went through turmoil and lost some great members, then when things quiet down and some choose to return, the garbage starts all over again, and the cause of many leaving starts all over again, too bad.
