Post by Blitz »

Well, I learnt how to Juggle in June.

In July, I am good at bouncing a golf ball on my wedge (Like what Tiger Woods does in his famous Nike Commercial).

And Now, I want to learn how to use Chopsticks :D I've always wanted to learn....but now I got time (summer holidays :D )

Anywayz, just bought me some chopsticks, so gonna start practicing. http://www.learn2.com has a good tutorial.

Any tips?

I'll update ya on my progress :D

I have a 2 good friends who are Korean and one is who is 260 pounds. Sushi is a big time meal around here. They had a head start on me because they were introduced and developed a taste for it a lot earlier than I even knew what it was.

However, after being introduced to it and liking it a lot, I started my training with the spicy dried peas that they always have at the table waiting for you when you get there.

Now I can snatch a dried pea out of someone else's chop sticks. A trick I've been subjected to many times. :D

Blitz, when my daughter was 8, she decided to learn how. We used to eat oriental food at least once a week. It took her two meals and she was doing fine. It shamed me into learning. You'll do fine after just a meal or two.

Jefe's gonnna eat you bob!!!!!!!! Hmm is the 260 pounder me? No point in learning how to use chopsticks. I find forks to be a lot more intresting. Forks have four shark points to hit people with, chopsticks have one very blunt tip. Fork are made of steel chopsticks are made of wood. Just consider all of this. ;)

I like eating with chopsticks sometimes.

It really slows you down, so you end up appreciating the food a lot more then if you're just shoveling it in.

My advice would be to buy a pair or 2 of nice chopsticks and just keep them.

Most of the wooden ones are made from tropical and often endangered wood, then simply thrown away after a single use.

Deplorable.

I myself am Chinese, and just lately realizing how much better Chopsticks are vs regular uttensils ! honestly...i believe Chopsticks are superior to forks , or spoons. It's also probally harder to hurt yourself w/ chopsticks lol....except in Jet Li's Kiss of the Dragon which showed otherwize (Owch..!) Death Via Chopsticks to throat.

I have a pair of gold and pearl inlaid chopsticks. An old GF gave em to me, cuz I like to eat sushi so much. I can flip a penny up in the air with em, and catch it, not everytime, but I'm pretty good at it. I have seen some folks eat soup with chopsticks. They kinda flip the soup up in the air. Messy and loud.
