Wink2k Displays incorrect amount of Ram

Post by tweakfreak »

I just installed Windows 2000 Pro (clean install) yesterday.

I have my drive partitioned. Drive C: 6.23GB and D:3.27 GB.

Everything went fine with my install. I have all my (critical windows updates) and win2k SP2 installed.

I have a few questions though.

I have 384mb ram but it displays it as 392,740 kb ram. Does win 2k do something different for ram? hmmm What can I do to correct this? ...

Also my firewall pops up with a warning that "NT KERNAL & SYSTEM" is trying to access the net.
Located in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\NTOSKRNL.exe

What on earth is that and should I let it through?

Please help..thanks!

P.S Win2k is cool so far...

Acutally, don't sweat on that small stuff. There's nothing wrong with your Computer, and changing it doesn't make a difference.

the Ram pieces don't exactly have 384mb of ram, they usually go over, and just rounded it off.
