Should I be concerned?

Post by Easto »

For the past several months, whenever I click on a link (to a reputable site) from a Google search I am getting alerts from those companies that they do not allow access from my region. It's as if they think I'm located in the EU or elsewhere. This doesn't happen with everything, but it seems to happen about once every other week. I'm pretty sure there's nothing nefarious going on, but just wanted another opnion.

What is your default browser? Some of them may have built-in "security" as in DNS, VPN, etc. that shows your geolocation somewhere else. Could be a security extension too.
Another option is that the geolocation of your IP address from your ISP extends into Mexico, not sure, heh.
