Please accept my apologies.

I am very sorry for not posting this sooner. I know many of you followed minir and considered him a friend. I should have passed this on when I first heard.

Larry's mother, Elizabeth(Lil) Anne Minicola, passed on January 24 2018. She was in her 100th year.

Larry and his mother were very close, especially during hockey season, and I know he mentioned her often in his posts.

To me she was like a second mother, and was one of the finest ladies I have known.

Once again I apologize for not letting minir's many SG friends know sooner.

I was just talking to Ronny to see if he knew how to reach you to find out about you and Larry's mom. Sorry to hear of her passing although 100 years is a full life.

The only thing that you should apologize for is not stopping by more often!!!! :irate: :)

I know that both she and Larry are happy as Toronto is in the playoffs! :)

Check your private messages and give me a way to contact you, please, as you don't come around much anymore and I like to know how you are doing.

You can also stop by more often and let us know! It is good to hear from you, although I am sorry to hear the bad news... Best wishes...
Be well,
Ken

Thanks everybody, it means a lot.

I was thinking back to when I met Lil and I came up with 52 years. I met her shortly before my mother died so it turns out I knew her longer than my mother. She was a classy lady who always gave me good advise when I asked.

I actually knew Lil before I met Larry. After I finished my electronics course I wanted to move back to Peterborough to be closer to my mother. Paul, Larry's father, had just opened a store he called Minicola's Stereo and TV, and on a whim I went in to see about a job. I ended up helping him deliver a new TV in the back of his new Mercury convertible. I guess I impressed him on how I set up the TV and explain it's operation to the customer and on the drive back to town he offered me the job. It was two or three months later I met Larry.

Very true words.
