Thanks in advance...

That's what I used with Windows 8/8.1, not using it for now with Windows 10 as the default seems to work fine (just had to move a few tiles around)RaisinCain wrote:^ http://www.classicshell.net/
If you do the "custom" install...you get a chance to disable those during the install/setup process.Mark wrote:ya from what i have read there is a bunch of tracking\privacy issues with it.
i even uninstalled the windows 10 upgrade deals from my windows 7 PC, might try it at a later time though.
Better memory management, multi desktop stuff is much simplier/better with Task View, Direct X 12 will be nice but thats gonna be gaming related, I doubt F@H will find a use for it.Humboldt wrote:Are there any stability/speed/ease of use reasons to make the upgrade?
you mean you like 10 for a LT that's not touch screen too ?Philip wrote:I still use Windows 7 on my main rig, only use 10 on the laptop and kids' desktops. I personally prefer the interface/graphics on Windows 7 for a PC, but Windows 10 for a laptop/touchscreen devices.
thanks for the replyThe Dude wrote:I did it early on and haven't looked back. Once you upgrade and get your digital entitlement, you can clean install after that. If you have issues from the upgrade, just try a clean install. You also have a rollback feature that can be used up to 30 days after you do the upgrade. You can also just go back to Windows 7 if you don't like what you see. Assuming you have install media for Windows 7 and or made a system image backup etc.
So far it's pretty quiet. There was a KB released via updates...which beefed up the Win10 "nags" on 7 and 8 systems..and that raised a lot of noise in that it could be abused to push stuff. Have Bing and other things get more "naggy" than they are. But so far..pretty quiet. No "ads" really coming up for me.Dan wrote:what about this "ad" crap you guys were talking about ? (on the free upgrade)
