What you install in your home?

I just want to ask that what you have installed in your home at business place.Because i want more security on my garage door.Because my friend lost his car from is garage last Saturday.And i already have an alarm system in my car.So what you think what is best to install there Cameras or any alarm system?

I know 1 weak link is if you have a door in your garage that opens into your home. If you have a garage door opener and you leave your opener in the car outside. All someone needs to do is break into your car and they can open your garage, go inside and close it and then work on getting in through that door.

The garage is vulnerable for sure. Motion detector might be tough if not perfectly setup. An audible alarm would likely scare 99% of intruders away.
I have an attached 2 car garage and have installed a whopper of a deadbolt coming into the house. If the garage door is open, I have an alarm alerting me so and it also drives the 110 lb Rotty nuts! Nothing say GTFO like a roaming, male rottweiler! Gives me plenty of time to rack the slide...

motion sensors tied to a light mounted above the door just under the over hang. Also a sign anywhere " Smile your on camera ".

Sears makes a model called Assurelink. It will notify you by your cell phone if the door is opened.

You can open and close it with your cell phone.

Cameras are affordable deterrents, which allow monitoring while you are away, as well as having a record of who is coming by.

Go for a combination of both - camera and alarm. One will alert you and second will tell you who was it..

My friend have both alarm and cameras.But when thief steal his car they cut the main power to garage.And he didn't get any alert when they break the door.And i need a system that generate its own power and don't need connection to power supply of my home.

Nobody gave you an alarm or cameras.
