Yep, it was 35 yrs. ago today that my brother and I saw Elvis at the Tampa Jai-Alai Fronton, also on the ticket was Nick Lowe and Mink Deville...price was $5.00.
We were front row and it was unbelievably awesome for me.....don't think Mark was much into Elvis but he bought the tickets for my 16th birthday.....thanks bro!
Pics taken with my trusty instamatic.
Here is a video from the same tour in Boston, interestingly on my birthday.
Awesome! One his first tours here in the Southland he played 2 places. Hollywood High and Milliken High auditorium. My buddy told me about the Milliken High School show and asked me if I wanted to go (That School is pretty close to where I live) and I told him I would pass. I still beat myself up about that to this day. You're correct on the lineup too.
Damn, damn, damn! Why did you have to remind me. lol

If you happen to recall, who sang What's So Funny if Nick was on the ticket, Or did they do it together?
I saw Elvis about 3 years ago on a solo acoustic tour when he came to San Diego. I've been to well over 100 shows and this was easily top ten. I just listened to My Aim is True, and King of America yesterday.

Hmm, I don't recall if they sang together or not.
I only seen him 2 or 3 times, can't remember exactly, I know I saw him in '82 also.
Blood and Chocolate (the "Napoleon Dynamite" album) was the last album of his I purchased. Credit him with a very long run of some incredible song writing, one of my absolute favorites (the first four albums measure up to the best of the best). I have seen him live at least 10 times.
