I used a pine board for the neck this time, instead of red oak like the last one. And then I used one of those big pop corn tin can lids for the body. There also is a piezo pick that I made and installed inside the body and there is a 1/4 jack attached in the bottom. Sounds good either amp'd or not. Because of the body, this one has more of a metallic sound, and also have a greater range in scale because the neck is longer. The whole thing is almost the size of a baritone uke. And it is very light.

I also installed a volume pot to the guitar. The volumue pot that I used was 100k one that I snagged from radio shack a while back. The actual stick pot is wicked long.. which I guess it make it easier to turn. I also install a chrome dome guitar knob on that. I'll post a picture l;ater one.. coming along nicely

A one string guitar is great for learning slide guitar. It also develops a persons music ability in regards to "playing by ear".
There is a lot of one string guitar players out there.. mostly playing the blues.
