Downloading

I need to download a Youtube video. Which is the best way to do it?

I have seen many programs from Google search. I don't know which one is the best or which one I can trust without getting any Torjan or rootkit.

Any suggestion?

This one works fine

Just uncheck the other "me too ware" offers during installation.

Some others here....I've had no problems with downloads from snapfiles.com

What is the difference in quality in these two different formats, FLV and MP4?

Would you watch this video? Is it true?

Yes, you are right. I tried both ways. After downloading as FLV format and then converting to any other format, the quality of the picture goes down. When I downloaded as mp4, the quality is better than the first procedure.

However, the mp4 download quality is not good as the original video. So, I wonder any other method we can use to get the same video quality.

You don't need 3rd party software to download youtube videos, all you need is a java enabled browser.
http://saveyoutube.com/ (this is a youtube owned domain)
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

Thanks Tony.

Which format is better regardless of the player preference. I am trying to get same quality as I see on the Youtube site.

The quality is going to suffer a little each time it's converted.. WMV may hold better but as you copy a copy and so on you're going to lose quality.
