Problems with Video Enconding and more...

Post by famous1681 »

Hey guys need your expertise...Sorry for the long Post...
I have the Asus K52F-BBR5 Win7 Home Premium 64-Bit(bought it about 4 weeks ago),Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.00Ghz P6100/CPU 3MB cache, with 3GB of RAM DDR3,Graphic: system Intel GMA HD Accelerator. I Have the EasyCAP this one here> http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5707
Now I record My gameplay from the Xbox 360,I use the Composite,I record with Debut Capture Software and I use the Following Settings>
Record as-.wmv/"Encoder Options"-Video Compressor-windows media video 9,Bitrate 8192
"sound Compressor"-Windows Media audio 10 Pro,Sound Format lowest possible
"Edit Output"-Resize video-check/Shrink or enlarge the Video to selected size-check/
Constrain Proportions:16:9-check/Change Frame Rate-60

No when I record with those settings I get decent Quality but will using any other rendering settings help the quality, and also keep about the same or less file size?
I do have the Fddshow video codec pack installed, but when I use MPEG or AVI and try to edit In Pinnacle studio 14 ultimate Collection, the video in the preview box is in super fast mode, but the audio is still normal...?
So I can upload in "HD" settings I make the Movie in MPEG-4 and use Format HD720p In pinnacle Studio 14

Now few problems I have ran into Pinnacle studio is that when I try to use Slow-motion,Noise reduction, stuff like that to improve the video. It lags in the Preview box, or I get a black screen,or Exclamation Mark...but I can still hear the audio...?
But if I do my normal editing without using the enhancing options it's fine. I can add transitions and titles with no problem.
Here is the link to a video I finished with all the settings I have provided.>

I have thought about Getting the DreamGear Multi-cable and Use the S-video Instead for Recording with the EasyCAP.but tell me If it will help and if its worth getting it(about $30 for the Cable kit)

Now the Problems I face with Pinnacle Studio, is it that the Program is corrupt, which I already Uninstalled and Reinstalled, also is that My Computer Needs more RAM??? Please Help me out guys.
My last resort, which Im trying to avoid Is getting a HD-PVR.(I will get it in a few weeks or months)
I've also tried using Pinnacle studio for capturing video of the EasyCAP, but it doesnt find the EasyCAP,but Ulead, deubt, and virtualDub does.... :wth:

I really really Appreciate all the help I would get,Im just at boil point because I have been on the internet countless hours searching answers to my questions.

I have used 20,30,35,40,45,60,65 and it doesnt seem to affect quality, My thought is that the easyCAP is limited to 29.97 but I have no clue.

there maybe a setting in Pinnacle Studio to alter the render settings while you preview, you don't need full quality to see you edits until you do a final encode.

Yes,it Compatible with win7 and 32 and 64-bit.
I know S-video beats Composite, but will i notice and difference for recording, and is it worth it getting the multi-cable?($30_)
