limited connectivity client help!!

Post by tobe1424 »

so I have a netopia modem router switch hooked up to a few clients and 1 DC(just one internal domain). The clients are able to join the domain but receive a limited but no connectivity network connection. It picks up the IP from DHCP at the DC and the DNS. I think it might be an issue in the DC DNS.

Any input is highly appreciated. Thanks

Limited connectivity error means Windows could not get an answer from a DHCP service during startup (no answer to its ARPs)...so it self assigned an IP (APIPA)...169.154.xxx.xxx.

So what IP is it actually getting? What's the result of ipconfig /all?

The issue was indeed DHCP related. The DHCP on both router and DC were enabled. Thanks again.
