Green is Good

Spent the evening down in Palo Duro Canyon this evening taking some shots of the valley from a trail I hadn't been on before. Things were very green, thanks largely in part to the immense amount of rain we've had in the last few weeks.

Awesome scenery, I'm jealous.

Fourth shot is my favorite, great contrasts in color, depths, texture, rock/grass etc...

I think I'm gonna head back out there in the morning so I can get some shots with the sun coming from the opposite direction...there were a lot of things looking back to the west from where I was at that I'd have loved to have taken shots of, but the sun would have been right in my eyes (and lens).

That shot you like, it reminded me of a scene in the Lost series finale when the main characters were standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Had the same feel and texture to it. That's kind of why I took that shot :)
