I've only watched the first episode but It's a pretty decent show so far. It was relatively graphic for an ABC show...good acting/actors and an interesting storyline.
It's no Breaking Bad but it is something to watch during the week.
In this ABC drama pilot a small town is set on edge by a murder-its first crime in seven years. The focus is on the town's new sheriff Deputy Tommy Conroy. While a mysterious new woman tries to uncover her families secret in Happy Town
2 episodes in. I think more and more good programming will go to channels like FX, USA, HBO, SHO and others just to get a better shot at a good run. Seems they give shows more of a chance.

I think a lot of shows are hurt because they get downloaded instead of watched live, so the true ratings don't show up. It's all about the demographic that likes the show as to who is more prone to download a show and avoid the commercials.

True, but there are becoming a lot of options for the younger demo that might download it. The network's website, hulu, itunes.
They secured almost twice the ratings of Sons of Anarchy and FX is pleased with the Sons ratings. Damages had only "ok" ratings, but the DVD sales were so good FX was happy to keep that around as well.
