I caught all these in about an hours drive in the farm country of my area.

Great pics, I have a hawk that preys on the birds at my feeder but I've never gotten a pic or even a good look at it.

You ever see them in action when they bag little birds? We have quite a few Kestrel Hawks up this way, when you put up a bird feeder you can sure tell when a Kestrel Hawk has found your yard.

It shows up a few times a week, there is quite a bit of brush near by so the small birds don't go far. All I've seen is an altmost black back with white under feathers showing through. I need a new pair of glasses and have been procrastinating. My feeder is 4 feet outside my window so the bird isn't in view long.

Where I use to live we had a nice size back yard with a huge oak tree in the middle and about a dozen bird feeders, we had hawks come through every day, one Saturday we counted six times a Hawk came through the yard looking for lunch.

Once I set up my chair in the back corner of the yard with my camera and had a Hawk hit a dove 3 feet in front of me, too quick to get any shots but man that was exciting as He!!
