Ya here, in the US, cost would have been so great to keep him alive, that they would have pulled the feeding tube and let him die, a long time ago.

Read about that this morning and could just think, "wow, that would really suck." I can't even imagine how frustrating that would have been (not so speak of the condition the poor guy is still in).
