Fantastic Online Security Book

Post by Scoot »

This book was written in 1997. It still has some of the best internet security information available put together in a very easy to read package. This can be educational regardless of your platform or experience with security.

Try resetting your TTL. Some people have run over 50 hops to get there. You can run a traceroute to check. You can use DrTcp or Cablenut or whatever to adjust it if you don't know where it is in the registry.
It doesn't hurt anything to keep it at 128 then you can get almost anywhere.
