what DL speed shud i get?..

i just wanted to ask whats DL speed shud i get?.. i have a 1.2mbps connection.. and my DL speed im getting is 130KB/sec.. is that normal?.. shud i get less or more?.. i tried every kind of DL.. torrent, limewire, etc.. but only max i get is 130KB/sec.. tnx..

130 KB/sec is kilobytes/second

1 byte = 8 bits

Your ISP is giving you a speed of 1.5 mbps (megabits/second) = 187 KB/second

Your comp is optimized when you are getting at least 90% of the speed you paid for.

Try setting TCP Window to 127776.

Torrent download is usually through UDP signals, and not TCP. UDP signals cannot be tweaked.

Make sure you set global upload speed limit in your torrent program to 60 KB/s, and not leave it unlimited.
