Post by Humboldt »

Django just turned 6, knows all 4 of my indoor dogs by name:

Sundance is probably in her mid thirties, I adopted her about 3 years ago:

Yes.

Never had any interest in birds until I started working with them. Fell in love with the little guy and started freaking out any time someone came in and talked about buying him.

So I bought him :D

:thumb: I bet he wasn't cheap either, they're wonderful birds, my girlfriends cousin has one named Quigly and he is so smart. Her cousins wife is the only one who can handle him without getting bit, but I only see him once maybe twice a year and he lets me pet him every time I see him, he loves it when I rub the back of his neck and head.

Yeah, birds love head scratches :D

I got him for about $500...half to a third of what they normally cost.

Funny? thing about him...he's terrified of the phone. Doesn't like remotes but doesn't freak out over them, not fond of cameras...but about the only time he bites me...hard, is when I pick him up while talking on the phone.

Then he bites the sh*t out of me.

Only happens a couple of times a year, but I'll be talking on the phone and he'll fly to the floor. Pick him up to put him on his perch or cage and he bites hard enough to break the skin and bruise :D

OUch! with the beak they have I bet he could take a finger off with ease.

Quigly will ring the phone himself and then proceed to answer the incoming call :rotfl:
