When I worked on bikes most shops were closed Sunday and Monday and open most holidays. I rarely if ever had three days off in a row.
The only one I can think of off hand is Mardi Gras which falls on a Tuesday. With Mardi Gras falling on the day before work there was a lot of people who never made it to work on Wednesday.

I speak for my wife. She's been laid off since June 15th and won't return to work until July 6th, unless things change. Before lay off, they went to 32 hour work week and took a $1.27 an hour pay cut. THAT HURTS US BAD.
