Cable modem activity solid

The activity light on my motorola surfboard (older) has been solid orage for days now. Ive searched google and people were saying how sometimes theres were solid for a period of time, but mine has been for days now. Internet does seem a little bit slower. I ran the speed test and it was much slower than average. What could this be and what can I do to fix it? Ive learned about turning on the log for the router so I did that and haven't came up with any incoming ip's.

How old is the modem? Is it still supported by your ISP? What make/model modem?

Its an SB4200. Had it forever. Ever since we got got Cable internet probably....8 years ago. But its always worked well until about a week or two ago. Sometimes it does cut out though. Could that be the problem?

Yep, you need a new modem, that modem isn't supported by any ISP anymore. I'm surprised it has worked this long.
