Hey fellas,
I'm looking for a solution for SSL VPN access for a small office.
The scenario is as follows:
Workgroup of 14 machines workstations (XP & Vista).
Windows 2k3 Server
Sonicalwall TZ170 firewall
Currently there are two other small offices connected via VPN using TZ170s as well.
I'm looking to provide SSL VPN access possibly using a Sonicwall SSL-VPN 200 for on-the-go connectivity. http://www.sonicwall.com/us/products/12033.html
Has anyone had any experience with this type of setup, and is there anything i should consider or reconsider in this scenario ?
Thanks,
- TB

SSL VPN is the way to go, many with nice super thin clients that run through your web browser. I've been leaning towards Juniper lately, have deployed their SA700 units. I stopped using Sonicwalls because of (IMO) difficult support with Sonicwall, whereas Juniper has one of the best support of any..ANY...IT related support I've dealt with. In the mid-west US also...so naturally English speaking support!!!
I will say, whichever brand you go with...going SSL is such a support relief..no more dealing with clunky IPSec VPN clients.

Your info is always solid! I like Sonicwalls a lot! I’ve never had any major issues with them. I just find the support/maintenance a bit pricey. I will look into the Juniper devices, but because I’ve got a few Sonicwalls in place for this client, I’d probably keep it all Sonicwalls.
Thanks,
TB
