Considering the success of the first one this was a given, but good to hear its started. I hope we get at least 3 if the quality stays up.

Just adding Samuel L. Jackson into the movie will give it a star!
I also like the idea of seeing Mickey Rourke in it since his wrestling movie was great!

I really don't care either way with those 2 in the movie. The only way I wouldn't be excited to see it is if they replaced Downy Jr.

They got rid of Terrence Howard for Cheadle? Cheadle is a better actor, though not sure if he'd play the role of War Machine well. I hate hearing about good movies coming out NEXT year. lol

I still need to see the first one. The cast in the second one looks great, I like Jackson. His acting may be limited to the angry black man one-liners but he sure is great when he rips one of them out.

I’d never have sat through and watched that travesty of a movie had it not been for Jackson.
I really do absoluty hate snakes. That and the movie kinda sucked too.

Adding to an already success movie line-up, not basing a B-movie around him.

Great movie! Good story and it didn't drag at any point! Scarlett was hot and awesome in her role. Munn didn't do much at all and was kinda in a role that was rather worthless of her skills but ohh well. Looking forward to the next step!
If you watch it be sure to stay after the Credits!!

Ed Norton will not be the Hulk in The Avengers!!
The third big-budget Hollywood film since 2005 featuring Marvel’s iconic Hulk character will feature a third actor in the role of the temperamental green hero. Hitflix.com broke the news this weekend that Marvel Studios will recast the role in the upcoming The Avengers with someone other than Ed Norton, who starred in 2008′s The Incredible Hulk; Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige went so far as to tell the site that the decision was “definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members.” Norton’s agent, Brian Swardstrom, fired back to Hitflix that Feige’s comments were “unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory,” and that Norton and director Joss Whedon had had a “very good meeting,” with the deal only falling apart after weeks of “civil, uncontentious discussions.”
The cast of The Avengers, slated for a 2012 release, currently includes Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and possibly Don Cheadle as War Machine.
