One client of mine has been clamping down on usage of the computers...mostly employees goofing off. I'm always laid back, never care what staff of other companies do on their PCs (unless it's clearly bad stuff that will me grief in taking care of the PC). But anyways, had a few staff whos surfing habits were being monitored. Today was it for one staff I guess, after a warning, the boss had me print out detailed reports on her surfing. Twas shown the door.

Nothing specific as in one site...just patterns of hanging out at facebook, classmates, various web mail, some online jewelry shopping, and individual traffic was far and beyond the highest of all their users there. Just heavy patterns of "goofing off"...even outside of lunch hour. Last week this persons web traffic was over 1.2 gigs. Not one other person there generated over 100 megs in 1 week. Network of approx 70 users on a 20 meg pipe. Heavy traffic from play.it too.

I have to admit I probably spend more time than I should but I do try and keep it to a minimum. Also, the sites I go to are mostly weather and news. I did notice that they put up a filter for blogs and forums the other day.
