B vitamins, especially B6, B12, and folic acid are supposed to be good for the brain. Antioxidants like vitamins C and E, and beta carotene, are also recommended. Omega-3 fatty acids are also supposed to improve your memory.

As far as memory for your PC, I can't help you. I always end up buying whats on sale. :D
I don't know the same things you don't know.

9 out of 10 times...yes installing faster RAM sticks are OK, they'll default down to the lower speed. I have seen a rare instance or two where this hasn't worked on certain computers.

I believe I was able to do that by responding, "Ya" to an IM message.

Not to long ago I had some kind of strange message on boot up that had to do with the video card and the memory on the board.

Thankfully, I am on a different PC now. :)

I don't particularly like Crucial anymore...

I bought 2 pairs of Crucial Ballistix Tracers from NewEgg, and had to RMA 2 out of 4 sticks so far. One lasted a month, the other 3 months.

Not to mention I sent for a $20 mail-in rebate, but had 2 UPC labels in the envelope instead of one, so they "disqualified" me based on filing for multiple rebates... Which was total BS.

Replaced those with Corsair, no more problems.

I usually buy Corsair, I've tried GSkill, OCZ, Mushkin...
Disclaimer: Please use caution when opening messages, my grasp on reality may have shaken loose during transmission (going on rusty memory circuits), even though my tin foil hat is regularly audited for potential supply chain tampering. I also eat whatever crayons are put in front of me.

Many of us went through that hell with Crucial and those Ballistix chips... First batch I got were recalled but still had to go through hell with them.

I'm not fond of their Ballistix...got 2 pair sitting in boxes unused..had issues with 'em.

Yet their standard RAM...I've not had issues with (at home, or at work..and we get several hundred sticks a year). And it gives you 90% of the overclocking ability that Ballistix can. Which not many people overclock to that degree either.
