I heard a pop in my 8-core Xeon box and much to my chagrin, found this:
The caps on the 7600GT blew out.
Not sure why, it was running at stock speed and voltage.
I pulled out one of my 8800GTS to replace it.
No 3 GPU cruncher rig for the time being. On a bright note, the Xeon box is now crunching with 2 SMP clients and a GPU client.

Wow, That's a huge melt down, Goobee. Caps usually start leaking before they fail.

I got a RMA # off evga's automated RMA request and sent the card in today.
Maybe they'll replace it with something faster.

You obviously over estimate my soldering skills.

Got my replacement card in from evga today. Modest upgrade, they sent me a 7900GT. I guess I'll put it into my HTPC.
