Can't put any pictures as background, wtf?

Post by TEH WIN »

Running an old IBM laptop with windows XP on it. We are using the only administrator account on the machine. When we select "set as background" on internet explorer, no image will appear on the desktop. When we go to he display properties and the desktop tab, the "background" area is greyed out, we are only able to change the color. The "browse" button and "position" drop menu is greyed out, the only option available is color. The "customize desktop" button is also available, but theres noting useful with that button.

Please help

Thanks,

J

I'd install the latest video drivers for that specific laptop..and also make sure you install any monitor/LCD drivers from their site if available.

Probably either corrupt, or incorrect video drivers causing your issue.
