90FPS is pretty good..

Otherwise when you say latest drivers..which ones are you talking about?

All windows updates installed? What card were you using before hand?

More info please on system.

90 fps is more than enough to play and enjoy smooth gaming. Are you noticing jerking gameplay?

yea it jerks a lil and its like kind of choppy also. im just curious because ppl with weaker systems than mines and also lower graphics cards get a constant 100 fps on all maps

What virus scanner do you have, and do you have a software firewall running?

Still didn't answer my question... When you say the Latest Nvidia Drivers..which ones are you talking about??

Also check the running Processes..see if you have something eating up CPU cycles.

Wow, I wouldnt complain with 90fps at all. Try enabling V-Sync and see if it stops jerking. What is your monitors refresh rate at? I doubt you're even seeing 90fps.

I thought the monitor is what really gives you your true FPS count, or I could be wrong, but wouldn't an 8800 only reach 90fps if the monitors refresh rate frequency tops out or is more stable at -say- 90hz @ 1280x1040. Which seems great to me for counter strike! If you experiencing some jerkiness while playing, if you have not- check out http://www.tweaksguides.com. You might just find that it's a background service(s) running, using some of your network at startup. Toolbars are popular for this. Anyways, check out tweaksguides.com after unistalling your graphics drivers, use Driver Cleaner, reinstall the graphic drivers, than go to tweaks for comprehensive network, services, and graphic-card tuning!

Hope this helps,
MaP
