Yeah, parts of it... it took a lot of trial and error considering I know jack about anything. I used Joomla and a template and modified it to my liking.

Looks very streamlined. Lots of ads though.

Aww.. is it something not nice?
Does it really seem like a lot of ads? Perhaps I should remove some.

Advertising is the scourge of the Internet, if not the world.
If you can't afford to run a personal website, free from advertisements, you shouldn't run one at all.
Advertising banner in the header, google advertisements just under your article selection slideshow, more advertisements in the navigation bar on the right... another banner at the bottom of the page. All this, just on the first load of your site. I've already lost interest in sticking around any longer.
Selecting an article, I still see google ads to the right of the article text, still in the header and in the navigation bar and again, still at the bottom.
=(

thanks steve for the comments. I can afford to run it but this is the first time I try anything with ads in them.
I didn't think that the ads were that intrusive though. I guess I was wrong. I will try to mimimize them.

Ads aside, how is the layout and subject matter?
I now have 2 ads per page. Top and side/rectangle. I hope that's not too much.
