keep losing internet connection every few minutes

i have a motorola sb5101e, my computer does not detect it, it still shows network connected...any ideas?

who is your provider? make sure connections are tight.. even outside at the box make sure its dry and tight and reboot modem like YOS said.

Yes I get the exact same problem for over a year now. Levels are perfect, one thing you can't see with the motorola modem that I was able to catch with my new modem. Randomly the upstream signal will spike extremely high to 61+ (55dB is supposed to be the threshold, I think the modem I recently got, Scientific Atlantia might cap out what it shows at 61dB or something?).

Anyway i've had several techs come out and none of them can figure out why it does it, and it never does it while they're around.
