Fox? Are you serious? Reasoning behind that thought?Izzo wrote:Fox![]()

Great. We have a conspiracy theorist on our hands. There's no doubt that some information is leaked from agencies that shouldn't be. But in case you've missed it, it's not been in favor of the Republicans. If you look at most mainstream media, you'll notice a bias to the left; not to the right.Burke wrote:Newspapers, TV news. Why else would they want to reign in the internet?
You really are naive if you don't think our government exercises influence over news outlets. Don't you remember the NY Times b.s?
Facts go a lot further than theories.
It's called yellow journalism, Mr. History.Addict wrote:Fox? Are you serious? Reasoning behind that thought?

Serious...Yes. Reasoning...I won't bother. You must be related to GH.Addict wrote:Fox? Are you serious? Reasoning behind that thought?

Proof? The fact is, there isn't one major news outlet that's as biased to the left as Fox is to the right. None, nada.Addict wrote:

It's a cliché pepetuated by talk radio, conservative talk jocks in their own books and so forth. You know, tell the lie over and over and soon enough, people start to belive it's true.
Facts...
Yellow journalism would imply that the media is trying to 'inflate' the news to drive up exposure. I'm not sure how you can apply that to the original statement at all. If you actually read some of the stories out, they are far from favorable towards Bush. In fact it seems that most of the stories are aimed at him. Perhaps due to the left wing bias of most media outlets.Burke wrote:It's called yellow journalism, Mr. History.
Why not? No counter argument to give?Izzo wrote:Serious...Yes. Reasoning...I won't bother. You must be related to GH.
I assume you're referring to George Herbert Bush by the GH comment?
Then what gives you the right to comment on any of this?Blisster wrote:who me? hell, I don't vote!

Let me just add this last part; I'm not in favor of everything Bush has done. Don't assume I'm following him blindly because he's a Republican. I think there's some items he needs to work on. But honestly, what President was viewed perfect by everyone in the U.S.?
Actually, yellow journalism includes JINGOISM. But that's merely a niggling point.Addict wrote:Yellow journalism would imply that the media is trying to 'inflate' the news to drive up exposure. I know there's not a single media outlet that is NOT biased. I don't even think it's possible for one to exist. People, by nature, are going to mix their opinions in with the news. The only hope we have is that people will be smart enough to simply take in what they say and form their own opinions.
What about them? Show me some proof that they are liberal biased.Addict wrote:Really? How about CNN?

CNN is just as fast to report a juicy story on a liberal as they would be a conservative, communist, white guy, black guy, woman or whatever sells.

Taxes is something paid to make your surroundings better either way you look at it.
and yeah I'll avoid politics if I can since its often just opinions and we all know everyone has one be it right or wrong. With everything that has happened in the last 8 years its hard to look back and say that anyone else either on the ballots or not could have done a better job...hard to argue the past or the future.

Well put. Thank you.
Bush supporters will always be Bush supporters... nevermind them.
It's like they don't listen to the things that he says. I've seen over 20 videos online of him, there are 4th graders with more common sense in their balls, than Bush has in his brain.
I've seen shoe laces smarter than Bush.

Can't say I agree with you on that. But that's your opinion.downhill wrote:While I would agree that voting is important, I'd also suggest that if your paying taxes then your entitled to an opinion and also entitled to voice it.

I don't really watch any of them anymore. Nothing good on the news from any outlet..
Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.
