tcp analyzer results

« SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results » just at a friends house and his pc was real slow had a heap of bugs in it i got rid of spywar etc just now got to do the tcp optimizer for his dsl here are the results

If the line is ADSL, then the MTU is wrong. MTU 576 is for 56K dialup.

First thing to do is to use TCP Optimizer to reset his registry to Windows Default. Just click 'File' and select. After reboot, post a new TCP Analyzer report.

What speed is the Aussie ISP giving?

Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU - 1500
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 64240
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - uncheck
Timestamps - uncheck

Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 1
Host Priority - 1
DNSPriority - 1
NetbtPriority - 1
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 136
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0

LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768

I don't recall what it was when I got Cox 5 yrs ago when I first got Cox they have improved over the years, but I would have to go back to there Website and check what the Basic speed is? That is all I have is there basic.
