How to get surround sound from Winamp or Media Player??

Post by X-Nemesis »

I'm using Logitech z5500's but when I play music through winamp or media player 11 I only get sound through the sub and the front 2 speakers. How do I get it through all of them? I'm using an Audigy X-FI XtremeMusic.

Have you configured your sound card drivers to see your speakers as a 5.1 system? In your control panel, or depending on your sound drivers, in Start==>Programs.

With my surround, I dropped the front speaker master volumes and upped the rears because the fade was way out. It took a little fiddling with volume control to get all the appropiate controls up there to change.
