is it possible to get my old defgrager back?

Post by j0ey »

I installed a trial disk-keeper program. Now that the trial is up i'm trying to figure out how to get my standard defragmentation program back and running. I'm running windows xp.

If you are referring to the defragger built into XP, just use as you always did.

You could always use Diskepeeper Lite, it's free and pretty much the same defragger that comes built into XP.

You can type "dfrg.msc" in run, or goto c:\windows\system32\ folder and make a shortcut of dfrg and place it where you want, just rename the shortcut to defragmenter.

Perfect Disk is the best defragger, but it costs money.
