A while back I had a dog I use to walk every day after work. She would run and I’d run with her. After a while I figured I could ride my bike and hold the leash (15 foot retractable) and then she could really run without me being an anchor. Worked out well for about two weeks.
One day we were flying down the street when she caught the smell of something and came to a dead stop. I didn’t react fast enough and did a header over the handle bar. Smacked my face on the road and ripped the skin off my hands. My dog came over and licked me on the face to make sure I was alright.
I miss that little girl.

funny story, i have the same problem when/if my chihauhau gets out and thinks she's free...cant catch her for anything. got a new aussie pup and the other day we opened the gate in the back yard and my little dog saw a chance to bolt and she takes off out the gate and starts towards the road...little did she know that aussie's tend to NOT like things to run away and Roscoe(my aussie) takes off and catches up to her. gets in front of her and starts to work her back towards the gate. It gave my wife enough time to run out and pick her up and get back in the fence. I honestly think roscoe would have put her back in the fence had my wife not gone out and picked her up.

I should have goten a herder instead of a mouser. Mousers will chase anything for as far as they can.

Yeah, I'm doing good. Laughter is the best medicine. I was rolling when my daughter yelled to her mother that I was in trouble for playing in puddles.
No aches or pains, and slept very good that night.
