profiles changing

Post by Aznboy »

I have two profiles on a pc: The administrator's and one named "Jonathan" I want to get rid of Jonathan and transfer the entire profile over to the administrator profile. Is this possible? I have tried transfering all the files over, but many files are read only and untransferable. Can this be done in the registry? I want all shortcuts, startups, prefs, etc, to be changed to the Admin account and Jonathan to be deleted. How can this be done?

You should be able to do it logged in as a different account with Administrative priveliges. Problem is you can't se either of the accounts involved in the switch, as using it will open files and lock them against any changes.

Make another local admin account...log in using that....I prefer copying profiles in safe mode also.
