I have a new hobby

Post by YARDofSTUF »

Going to Best Buy and find a cashier that looks insecure, and when they ask to have my phoen number I say no, if a fairly firm, almost loud way.

I've done this 3 times now and all 3 times the girls have kinda taken a step back and been just shocked by it.

Did that to a girl at compusa and she was like "uh uh uh, but uh, hang on." had to ask the manager what to do then she completed the sale and I paid and shes like "you know I was only asking cuz we're suppose to." "Well no **** I didnt think my fat ass intrigued(sp) you." I thought she was gonna cry.

Read it, I'm kinda leaning towards ram too, RAM problems can do crazy things, if you know someone with an extra stick then give that a try. Also making an UBCD and booting to that should clear up the OS as a problem and allow you to test your HDDs and memory.

Oh ya, and I officially do not condone the misstreatment of cashiers or false pretenses for purchasing products to harass them. :D

You could always just give them.....867-5309. I do that all the time. Most cashiers never catch it. LOL

YoS-

I bought some sunglasses yesterday at Sunglasses Hut. I walked in, went straight fr the Oakleys, found a dark pair, tired them on under my helmet and tossed them up on the sales counter. Handed the little guy my CC and told him that I wanted em. He asked me to fill out a customer care card, I asked if "I had to", he looked at me like I had 3 heads.

I ended up giving him my name and addy, nothing else. Not like I've ever used a sunglass warranty.

Only time I give them real info is when i'm getting a warrenty of sorts.

Best experience.. I went to a female cashier and my GF was with me.. the girl asked for my phone number and my GF goes NUTS on her.. We both knew it was for some dumb service but my GF wanted to go off on someone.. Perfect target for the perfect reason.. The girl was GONE.. we had to get a different person to ring us up, accualy we got a manager that was my old boss. :thumb: He was laughing his ass off when he was told everything and came over to ring me up..

A Trick my friend did, was to ask for thiers when they asked for him, take out his cell phone and call it. if it really was a phone number for the girl, he would give his.. Otherwise.. 6660001 is what he gave. he only got the girls real number bout 3 times.....

I'm very protective of my identity whether it's in a store or the www.

If I absolutely have to give my name, like ya said for a warranty or such, I will give a bogus addy and phone. My dog used to make a lot of purchases lol.

Even domain registration.... real name but bogus address and phone contact info. Same w/ date of birth, I don't make that available. Too much identity theft going on, could tell ya quite a few stories. Imho, stores mostly a source of junk mail.

SG is the only place where I have my real DOB... and I did omit the year for security purposes.
