...limit our free speech. Run enough Dateline NBC scare pieces and voila, the government wants to swoop in. And they're only going after schools because no one will question it, what with the "learning" they're supposed to be doing, you know, not being taught anything about the Constitution and whatnot.

Thankfully, Congress wants to step in and...
MySpace and several others are blocked at a lot of companies. Stopping adults from wasting time doing things other than work.
No need for Congress.. It's not allowed.. Not to protect the adults but to protect the business.
I don't think I can take that to the Supreme Court for review....
I don't have kids and I have to pay taxes for schools, buses, computers, etc. Use the computers to learn, not setup buddy lists and chat. There is plenty of time for free speech when the child is on their time.
Net Nanny limits that stuff for parents who want to protect their children. Why is it so bad for public schools to want to safeguard in the same manner?
I mean, this could even be a preemptive move to avoid lawsuits when it's discovered that children preyed upon, established their "freindship" on school time. After all, it would be the school's fault if that happened right??
If anything this would allow the kids more time to learn about the constitution and how terrible America is, instead of their myspace buddies.
You should be happy!!
Or did I miss where myspace is a leftist website and this is just some form of the Reps trying to keep kids from learning the truth about governemnt through pictures of friends and tales of youthful adventure???

Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.

Who comes up with these names? Anyone who votes against it, no matter how inappropriate or useless the legislation (schools already filter out sites), will look bad in the eyes of voters. Yes, the public is that dumb.
