Speed!!

Post by ace »

I just love it when I get a free upgrade. The only thing is I wish WOW! would get with some faster download speeds. I dont think it will be much longer before they do but they need to kick it in high gear. I had a 6meg connection with a 650kbps upload. They bumped the upload up to 1 meg!!!:2cool:

Download Speed: 6536 kbps (817 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1064 kbps (133 KB/sec transfer rate)

$29 for the 5Mbit / 2Mbit package, $39 for 15 Mbit down / 2 Mbit up... You also get a free DLink wireless router with it, a DI-624.
(price with one year contract, if you're Verizon customer, and all that jazz)

It seems much more stable than Cable from my experience, I love it.
Plus I get like 4ms to the first hop, ~40ms to the SG web server ~1000 miles away.

$45 for 4MB / 384k..... InsightBB is REALLY ripping off the customer here. (Sorry BigMo, but it's true :( ) My problem, it's the only source of BB in my area.

my roadrunner service offers speeds of 10-15 down and like 2 up, but you have to also have a digital combo plan, that means paying for digital cable TV which i really don't want to do.

i asked them why can't i just pay a little more per month and they said it don't work that way :irate:

so i have to pay about $85 per month to get both, and that ain't gonna happen.
